Joey has a passion for helping and caring people, which is why he loves his job and works as an RMT. He also has a strong incentive to help his patients to address their issues, live better lives, and improve their well-being. To achieve these goals, Joey uses a wide range of modalities(techniques) he learned during the 2-year RMT program at Langara College, such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, joint mobilization, myofascial release, trigger point release, neuromuscular therapy, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, post isometric relaxation, and muscle energy techniques.
During the time at Langara College, Joey did research (case study) on Massage Techniques on Improving Forward Head Posture. He has an abundance of experience in treating back, shoulders and neck pain caused by postural imbalance, prolonged sitting or standing.
Outside of work, Joey is a huge fan of tennis. He enjoys tennis whenever he has a chance to play. He won the trophy of 2017 Vancouver International Pride tennis tournament (C group Men’s single). He also enjoys going on hikes during free time as well.
Joey is so excited to continue his journey in massage therapy and look forward to meeting new people and making a difference in their lives.
